Gold & Silver Forum - Got my Nagant build done

It's a 1932 Izhevsk 1891/30 with a hex reciever. The original rifle had matching numbers, but I bought a new bolt body with turned down handle from Rock Solid Industries.

The stock is an ATI Monte Carlo, and the mount is from ATI also.

Budget is kinda tight, so I put a Tru-Glo 6-24X44 illuminated scope on with mil-dot reticle. It all and all isn't a bad scope for the $ I got it for from Natchez (on sale for $60). I left the iron sights on and the barrel at full length in case of a scope problem.

Bi-pod is a Rockmount (I believe 6-9"), and a Talon supersling tops it off.

Still have to finish siting it in, but I'll tell you this sucker is fun to shoot. Nice big bang and decent kick, though doesn't seem as bad as my M44. Sucker puts out a flame thrower on the end. I'm still getting use to the trigger (pretty stiff, possibly try a trigger fix) and catch myself anticipating the re-coil. Been using some Bulgarian 147gr. surplus ammo.
